When There Is Indigestion

As Harad is naturally Hot in potency and having Astringent taste, it needs to be avoided in following cases..

  • ·         Pregnant woman.
  • ·         Having more of Pitta dosha (Fire body humor) in their system.
  • ·         The individual who is very weak, or very thin / emaciated.
  • ·         Having lot of roughness within and on the skin.
  • ·         When a person has undergone fasting for a long time.
  • ·         Also, in the medical conditions of a person who is newly diagnosed with fever, or having lot of dryness in the mouth and entire buccal (oral) cavity. Moreover, if the person is suffering from lockjaw disease and is feeling excessive thirst; in these conditions also it is better to avoid taking Harad.

What Happens When Vata or Vayu Is Minus?




When Vata dosha or Vayu is decreased below its normal limits, then you could physically experience all or any of these symptoms..

1.    Excessive production of saliva / mucous in mouth.
2.    Feeling of Nausea
3.    Loss of Hunger
4.    Instability and discrepancy of senses and intellect.
5.    Indistinctness of the voice tone and decrease in speech performance.
6.    Lassitude in body and feeling of increased sensitivity.
7.    Being less active.
8.    The digestion fire or Agni becomes unsteady.

What Happens When You Drink Water In Excess?



Even if you are thirsty, it is advisable to drink water steadily and only in limited quantities. This is because taking excessive water in this case also could cause the Pitta and Kapha doshas to get vitiated and cause relative ailments. Especially if a person is also having fever, this act could result into..
  • ·    More feeling of thirst.
·         State of delirium or excessive sleep.   
·         Indigestion relating to increase Ama (Toxic Matter).
·         Heaviness in body parts.
·         Respiratory ailments of Cold and congestion, cough, asthma etc.
·         Decreased Agni or gastric fire could cause bloated stomach, increased saliva production and feeling of nausea.
